 Here at Universal Beverages Ltd, we are passionate about the environment, we recognise that our operations impact on the environment and we must minimise this impact as far as possible. Our site uses a range of natural resources for which consumption needs to be optimised including energy, water and packaging materials. Being situated in a rural location, our site also needs to ensure that it protects controlled waters which run in close proximity.
To help us manage our operations efficiently, Universal Beverages Ltd is currently implementing an environmental management system which we hope will be certified to ISO 14001 standards by the spring of 2012. The site holds an Environmental Permit issued by the Environment Agency, which sets minimum standards for environmental management on site and Universal Beverages also partakes in two carbon trading schemes, the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme and the UK Climate Change Agreement. |  |
